
My sales experience started when I was 9 years old. I spent countless hours making and selling those ‘loopy potholders’ to my neighbors. (Remember the kit with the metal loom and multi-colored loops? Maybe not…) I always loved the thrill of earning money. But as my career progressed, reality set in. I found myself in a telesales position and I was not having fun. The adversarial nature of the marketplace caused me to doubt myself, loose sleep and hate my career path. At first I got mad. Then I decided to do something about it. I started learning everything I could that would help me sell more effectively while maintaining my integrity and that of my prospects. That made me feel better about myself and I experience awesome successes. Since then I’ve held various direct sales, sales coaching, business development and senior sales management positions, many in the high-tech industry. Why coaching? There is a driving force within me that says that everyone does not have to learn the hard way, like I did. | |
